We regularly review our pricing, taking into account our cost of doing business, increased supplier costs, and market comparisons. When it comes to making changes, we try to be very conservative. Below are price changes that will be reflected in the 2016-2017 annual catalog.

Price Increases
Please note that price changes will take effect on June 1, 2016; new pricing will also be in place for all catalog-related promotions, including the Product Purchase Premiere and the annual catalog preorder.

  • Cardstock: Through the years, our quality of cardstock has stayed the same, while our costs have increased. After carefully analyzing comparable weights/quality of cardstock, we’ve brought out prices more in line with our quality, while still remaining comparable to other cardstock in the papercrafting industry.
  • Designer Series Paper Stacks: Last year we had to increase the price of our Designer Series Paper; unfortunately, at that time, we overlooked our 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper Stacks. The Paper Stacks are essentially our 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Papers that have been cut into quarters, so our costs for Paper Stacks are actually a little bit higher than Designer Series Papers because they must be cut and padded. Therefore, we’re increasing the price of our Paper Stacks to be more in line with the pricing of our 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Papers.

Bundle and Save Changes
Bundles continue to be a great way to increase sales and simplify the ordering and crafting experience, making them valuable to both you and your customers. Beginning with the 2016-2017 annual catalog, we will be making the following changes to our Bundle and Save program.

  • Bundles will no longer carryover outside the life of the publication. Once the sales period ends, the bundle will no longer be available at its special pricing, even if the components of the bundle are still available. The two main reasons behind this change are (1) the majority of bundle sales happen during the catalog sales period; and (2) limiting the bundles’ availability will help drive urgency in your customers.
  • Bundles will now be offered at a 10 percent discount. Since first introducing the Bundle and Save bundles, we have increased the number of coordinating products offered in bundles and thus, in order to continue the Bundle and Save program, it is necessary to reduce the discount.

We will continue to review pricing factors in the coming year and make adjustments accordingly. Watch for more details on when the annual catalog PDF will be available soon!

Please note: This information should not be shared with customers until the preorder begins May 3. Review the “Promoting Catalog and New Product Releases” section of the Demonstrator Policies document for more information on what you can and cannot share from the new catalog before June 1.
